Altea counts with its zirka 17,800 announced inhabitants without doubt to the rather contemplative places here at the coast. Despite modernization it lost and widens the captivating charm parts of the old part of town conserved, but not not made the museum. |

Die Stadt Elche lässt sich bis auf die Iberer zurückführen, die an gleicher Stelle etwa 600 v. Chr. das Dorf Helike bewohnten. Südlich der heutigen Stadt hat man am 4. August 1897 eine Büste aus der Ibererzeit gefunden. |
