The city of Javea Spain lies about 80 km north east of Alicante, in between Denia and Altea. You can reach Javea via the road N 332, a wonderful road along the coastline of the Costa Blanca. If you have some time to discover the beauty of the area via this road - you will love it's views. Javea, between Denia in the north and the cabo de nao in the south, is embedded between two bays - the cabo San Antonio and the cabo San Martin.
Javea has a large number of traditions inherited from its’ varied ancient cultures. From all these traditions, the most popular are: Bous al Carrer, Fiestas de Jávea, Gastronomía, Els Colombaires, Pilota Valenciana, La Subasta, La Pasa, Los Rederos y El Mercado Leisure As Jávea is a growing town, it boasts a wide and varied offer of leisure activities. There are many cafeterias and terrace bars on the promenade and in the Arenal, as well as pubs, discos, skating rinks, go-kart circuits, cinemas, drive-in cinemas, etc. The range of cultural activities is completed by various organisations and bodies: Municipal Painting School: Jávea-Xàbia Cultural Atheneum: Youth Office: School of Music and Dance: Jávea Musical Artistic Centre: Municipal Library: "Soler Blasco" Archaeological and Ethnographical Museum. Historia por Épocas Jávea-Xàbia, has a rich history, possibly due to its special situation on the coast. The exact position of the town, the climate, together with the rich soil of the valley, meant that many colonists and invaders decided to settle here. |
